Privacy Policy

Ravn is designed with privacy at its core. This policy explains what data, if any, is collected and how it is handled.
Data Collection
Ravn stores all data locally on your device. Your links, collections, titles, descriptions, and any other content you save through Ravn never leaves your device. There is no cloud sync, no account system, and no way for us to access your data.
Ads & Tracking
Ravn is free and supported by non-intrusive ads. The following third-party services are used:
- Google AdMob: Serves ads within the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. On iOS, Ravn will ask for your permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing your device advertising identifier. You can decline this permission in the system prompt or revoke it at any time in your device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- UMP Consent (Google): For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and other regions with data protection laws, Ravn shows a GDPR consent form before loading any ads. Your consent choice is stored locally and can be changed in the app's Settings.
- Expo Updates (Exponent): Used to check for and deliver app updates. This service may log basic request metadata such as IP address.
Link Previews
When you save a link, Ravn fetches OpenGraph metadata (title, description, thumbnail) directly from the target website to display a rich preview. This request is made from your device to the website only. Ravn does not send your saved links or any personal data to any third-party service for this purpose. If no preview image is available, a placeholder is shown.
Secure Storage
If you enable PIN lock or biometric authentication, your PIN is hashed using SHA-256 with a unique salt and stored in the device secure enclave (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). The plaintext PIN is never stored.
Data Export
You own your data completely. You can export all saved links and collections at any time in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format via the in-app export feature.
Children's Privacy
Ravn is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Any material changes will be communicated via an update within the app.
