Fastual is built as a "Local-First" application. All your fasting data, history, statistics, and preferences are stored directly on your device using local database technologies. We do not maintain a central server to store your biological data.
What this means: Your fasting records never leave your device. You are the sole owner of your data.
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. We do not track your location.
The app only processes the data you explicitly enter: fasting timers, water intake, and optional mood notes.
Advertising and Tracking
This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads, including:
Your data persists on your device as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall Fastual, all data is permanently deleted from your device.
Important: Since Fastual is local-first with no cloud sync, there is no backup of your data. If you lose your device or uninstall the app, your fasting history cannot be recovered.
The app may interact with Apple HealthKit or Google Fit only if you explicitly grant permission. This interaction happens strictly between the Fastual app and your device's operating system — no data is sent to external servers.
The app uses the following third-party services:
iOS Users: On iOS, you can limit ad tracking by going to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disabling "Allow Apps to Request to Track". You can also reset your Advertising Identifier at Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Ad Preferences: You can manage your ad preferences and opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings or via Google Ads Settings.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control. You can export your data at any time through the app settings, or delete individual entries. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data.
Fastual is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. The app includes advertising which may not be appropriate for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
