This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Bars handles information when you use the mobile application or visit this website. Daily Bars does not require an account, and we do not sell your personal data.
Daily Bars is local-first. Your "Crate" (favorites), settings, notification preferences, Encore status, and viewing history are stored locally on your device. We do not receive this locally stored information. Removing the app normally removes this data, subject to your device's backup settings.
Advertising on iOS. The published iOS version uses Google AdMob to provide banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded advertisements. Depending on your region, consent choices, and Apple tracking permission, Google may process:
This information may be used for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and service performance. Daily Bars requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission before allowing tracking-related advertising access. Refusing that permission does not restrict normal app functionality, although advertisements may be less personalized.
Daily Bars is currently publicly distributed only through Apple's App Store. Android development builds use Google's test advertising inventory for placement testing. Android preview, closed-testing, and release builds do not initialize or request advertisements.
Optional bar contributions. If you use "Drop A Bar," the song title, artist name, and verse you enter are sent to Formspree for delivery and storage. We use a contribution only to review a possible catalog addition, operate the submission feature, and prevent abuse. No name, email address, or Daily Bars account is required. Formspree may also process ordinary network information, including the submitting IP address and request metadata, to deliver and protect the form service.
Content and software updates. Daily Bars contacts GitHub-hosted content services to retrieve catalog updates and Expo's update service to check for application updates. Those providers may receive ordinary network and technical information needed to deliver the requested content or update. Expo Updates may also process update-related crash information.
Daily Bars uses the following service providers, which handle information under their own privacy policies:
Bar contributions are retained in Formspree and any associated notification inbox for no longer than 30 days, unless a contribution is selected for inclusion in the catalog or must be retained temporarily to resolve abuse or a legal issue. After that period, the original submission is deleted. Content selected for the Daily Bars catalog may be retained as part of the catalog.
To request earlier deletion, email prengzi.redjon@gmail.com with "Daily Bars Privacy Request" in the subject and include the approximate submission date, song title, and artist so we can locate it. Because Daily Bars has no user accounts, we may be unable to identify a submission without those details.
If you opt in to "Daily Drop" notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device. Daily Bars does not use a remote push-notification server or collect a device push token.
On iOS, you can manage advertising consent inside Daily Bars under Control Room → Ad Privacy Choices when that option is required in your region. Apple tracking permission can be changed under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can also manage advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings.
You can request access to or deletion of a bar contribution using the contact details above. Favorites, viewing history, Encore status, and settings stay on your device and can be removed by deleting the app, subject to your device's backup settings.
This privacy-policy page does not load Google Analytics. Other pages on the Daily Bars website currently use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website traffic. Google may process IP-derived location, browser and device information, page visits, referral information, and cookies or similar identifiers under its own privacy policy. Website analytics are separate from the favorites, settings, and viewing history stored inside the Daily Bars app.
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to answer your request, maintain appropriate support records, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. We do not add support addresses to marketing lists or sell them.
Information transmitted by the app uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit collection and use service providers appropriate to the features described above.
Daily Bars is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly request a child's personal information. The app includes advertising that may not be appropriate for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its providers, or legal requirements change. Updates are shown by changing the "Last Updated" date. Please review this page periodically.
This policy covers personal data only. Song lyrics quoted in The Daily Bar belong to their respective writers, performers, and publishers, and we claim no ownership of them. See Lyrics and Third-Party Rights in our Terms of Service for the full notice and how rights holders can request removal.
